Destination - Hurricane Zone

I'm no stranger to tropical storms, having lived on the Gulf Coast for many years, got the rain poncho in the bag. Headed to the airport and the final destination is inside one of those cones for the 5-day forecast, so keep your fingers crossed for me.

Oh no! Well, don't watch the news...they always make it seem WAY worse than it really is. I'll keep you in my prayers.

I'm living in the cone myself. Take care.

Whew! We are okay and no trees fell on the house. The hurricane bands came through and knocked out the power, tough timing with a newborn and a very tired mom. I'm so glad I made it in time for the birth and the weather didn't hold me up.

Later in the week after the hurricane there were tremendous rains and most of the central region of Louisiana completely lost power. There was flooding and very high winds, leftover from the storm.

We are fine now, love to hear from all of you to know you made it through okay also!
