Treasures of the Treasury

I love true vintage items. I get a lot of inspiration for my new pieces by looking at real antiques and drawings of real vintage pieces.

One of my etched brass pieces is featured in this great Etsy Treasury by MagooVintage. Aren't those great pieces? Love the antiques and vintage look, and visually so beautifully put together.

I know we shouldn't rave about our own handiwork, but I do just love this particular etched brass piece - it has french on it, and so much detail - the patina turned out especially well. Check it out here.

Over on the Art Bead Scene blog is a new post for the series on The Trendy Bead about lockets. This fits right in with that theme.

Speaking of themes, the September theme on the Art Bead Scene is Filigree - check out how it works and join in the fun! You might win something really terrific ...

Sue, you've got a great eye and wonderful selections - be sure to let me know when your next Treasury is up, they are inspiring - don't be surprised if some new pieces of my handmade have some of the flavor of these beauties. Inspiring!
