Marie in Paris

This pewter charm has a swanky, old-world feeling to it. Like faux royal crown jewels or something from a fancy dress ball, hanging from an ornate chain and sparkling in the chandelier light.

The fused glass, with the bits of fire color showing in the depths, comes from the dichroic glass. It gleams and glitters like a fiery opal with ruddy and purple colors, it's almost impossible to make them show in photographs.

The setting in pewter is so ornate and decorated, with two loops at the top and one at the bottom for a dangle.

I love the texture and patina on the metal. So pleased with the way this turned out. Like something from the Court of King Louis in Paris, so long ago and far away.

You've definitely out done yourself! This is amazing. The dichroic against the pewter is such a nice contrast.

Hi Lynn,

Gads another home run Missy!!So much detail, amazing!!

The "talisman" I was refering to was the vessel you had just done. I have a huge weakness for boxes and the smaller the box the greater the lust ;)

I just came over from ABS...absolutely wonderful work! I hope you tell more of the process because it sounds fascinating. I would like to do more with metal work. Like torches and dapping and cutting and sawing and stamping and riveting and patina-ing...I have done some but I am just not in a place where I can play with fire and noxious chemicals. The pewter is so fabulous. I love it!
Enjoy the day!
