Golden Among Many

I asked for suggestions about other colors for the Asian Script Oval tabs, I made up a batch over the weekend. Most of them were the usual carmine, ruddy color. But I made a pair of golden, tawny colored ones.

Yes, I made a pair, but there's only one in the photo. When I was buffing the shine onto the other tawny one, the buffer flipped it and it went soaring. ZZZzzzing! Whooosh!

My hubby and I searched high, low and everywhere and couldn't find it.

We got a flashlight and crawled around on the floor, we looked in all the possible and even in all the impossible places. That thing has disappeared into thin air!

Finally we gave up. One day in the future I'll be messing around in the studio, and that oval tawny tab will fall out or drop into my lap, I suppose. I didn't have the heart to start all over again and make another one for the pair. So right now, the golden one is flying SOLO until the wandering one re-appears.

OMG,

Boy I so know that feeling!! How frustrating how can you total loose somthing when it's in a closed system?? :( You know it will show up just after you are finished making a replacement :)((G))

i'm an asymmetrical girl so i think a tawny and deep red would love dee-vine together! but it is frustrating... i lost a glass bead from a custom order the other day - argh... as you said, it will show up... but not when you are looking... really nice... i love your work - all of it...

This happened to me once before with a little heart that was almost done, I found it in my knitting bag, it had settled in among the cotton yarn and eventually found its way out again. What a surprise!
