Compass Crown

This fleur de lys style crown round focal has a worn look, as though it was on a shipwreck at the bottom of a tropical ocean, and has just been discovered and brought back to the surface.

The reverse side has a compass design with the four directions, North and South, East and West. It's called Shipwreck Compass for that reason.

As though it was part of an ancient ship for country and king, the crown and fleur de lys both symbols of royalty in times past.

It has a bright coppery-bronze finish on it, and would be beautiful as a jewelry focal, or for a collage or mixed media design, so both sides of the pendant could be shown.

With a set of loops at the top for hanging, and three loops on the bottom for dangles in the design.

We watched a movie called 'InkHeart' recently, I think it's affecting my designs - do you see it? If you haven't seen the movie, try to find it, it's very creative and the backgrounds and costumes are fantastic.

Today it is my turn to do the Studio Saturday post at the Art Bead Scene blog, and if you post a reply to the question I pose over there, you could be the lucky winner of one of my nautically inspired pewter charms!

Huge New and a Gihugeous Thank You!!!!

Finally your pewter focals have arrived by "Mule" train!!! :) They are soooo beautiful and your pictures do not do them justice!!

Just like the focal today your pieces become the inspiration for the artist to create amazing one of a kind pieces!! :) I find that my mind begins spinning wonderful "yarns" about your pieces the moment I see them. And I can't wait to bring the story to life!!!
