Spoon Tops and Roses

I've been playing with a design for a charm and headpin that looks like the top of vintage spoons, with the scrolls and ornate look of old english silver, and then made a pair of earrings using them.

I've started finishing the backs of the pewter pieces with a brushed metal look, it's very traditional.

These are pewter with a bright finish. I also made some with more of a bronze-coppery look.

The earrings used a pair of resin charms with rose designs in them. I thought they looked very sweet and colorful that way.

And this headpin with a spoon top on it, for adding a beautiful lampwork or ceramic bead, or some lovely pearls or faceted glass beads.

Can you tell I'm having fun with the pewter right now?

Hopefully soon I'll have enough sales to pull off another purchase of the metal to make more pewter.

The sale is still on in the ExpeditionD shop.

Or if you've fallen in love with the earrings, they're on Etsy too.

Pretty little earrings, for a favorite gardener or someone like me who just loves roses.

Thanks, Emanda. It's the time of year for mass warmth, got to heat up the kiln, the crucible, and everything that generates heat!
