Angles and Circles

I love the look of ancient things. I've been watching a series of shows on cable about archeological digs, and the items from ancient cultures that they find.

I made these from the cache of goodies I'm making molds from. It's almost too cold to make the molds, I have to make special warming arrangements so things will set up properly. And keep my hands off them a bit longer, too.

It's been too cold in the studio to work in resin right now. Maybe if the winter cold front passes through, I can do some more colorful pieces to add to the pewter settings.

And I have a crazy idea for a way to make lockets. I know, I'm always talking about lockets. But this time I have a notion for a way to do it, and if it's warmer later in the week, I'm going to give it a solid try.

If it works out, I'll show you what I was dreaming up.

Wow, they really do look ancient - like they were found during a dig! What an amazing job you do!

Hi Lynn!

I feel your pain! I'm frozen out of a studio too. I bundle up but when the temp is below 36, I can't heat the studio enough to work.

Love the pewter pieces. I particularly love the open scrollwork - lends itself to lots of design possibilities.

Look forward to seeing your locket - I love lockets! (gee can I use the work "love" one more time? LOL!

Have a great day!
Cindy

Thank you, dear friends.

Last Saturday I had on 3 pairs of trousers and a leather apron, 3 pairs of socks and 4 shirts topped off with a heavy sweatshirt - I looked like that kid in the movie Christmas Story "I can't lower my arms!" - LOL.

I need some fingerless gloves, it's too hard to work with mittens, tee hee.

Cindy we have to hope for an early spring, right?

Lynn, I can see you all bundled up. Maybe because it is a reflection of how I have to work right now in my barely heated 1928 garage studio. Stay warm!

Brrrr, three pair of trousers, yikes! You do have heaters out there, right Lynn? Lockets, oh yes please. My fav! Take care, --stay---(get) warm!

Those are beautiful-I agree-they look like they were found at a dig. Your work is always so wonderful. Today I got the Snowdrop fused glass I ordered and just giggled when I opened them- they're even better than they looked on line-I really love them and you sent a wing-I am so excited. Thank you for all the cold you go through to make these beauties.
