A Helping Hand, Hands Across The World

I've been watching, probably much like you, at the devastation and anguish in Haiti.

It makes me wish I was a medical or military specialist, someone who could help on the spot.

I remember when the Tropical Storm came through the community near Galveston when I lived in South Texas, how disruptive and terrifying it was before, during, and especially after.

I'm sure those of you who are on the coast and saw the hurricane come through Galveston and Houston, after I had left for the midwest, are also very aware.

It makes the idea of lending a helping hand so much clearer.

The firm I work for has organized a help effort, I can participate in that way.

It's something, not everything I'd like.

I know that some artists are organizing to make donations, what seems to be needed most is funds.

I re-worked the little pewter hand so that the loops are built in, it makes it easier to cast and quicker for me to finish them. I'm proposing to offer the proceeds from all sales of this bright glove helping hand link from my shop during the month of January to donations to relief for Haiti.

I'll keep an eye on the shop to keep them listed if you want to join hands with me on this project.

It's a small thing, I know. But it makes me feel more hands-on. And it makes the hand link feel more meaningful. To me, and maybe to you, too.

Thanks - it makes me feel as though I'm helping in a tangible way and it only works because you all are so great and will participate with me.
