Listening, Learning

I showed you a beautiful photo of Riki Schumaker's wing necklace, it made me start thinking about the loop for the bottom of the double wings.

They remind me of angel wings, or bird wings. You can see lots of detail in the feathers, I especially like that.

I think of them as having been in a chapel or on the wall of a special place, a relic of a time long gone.

I added a small loop to the bottom, for a dangle to hang. The wings have the holes drilled in the wingtips. But now there's a place for something special added to the bottom.

This is one reason why I like to see photos of how designers are using the pieces, sometimes I learn something I need to add, or to change.

And I also like the photos because it's fun to see what the pieces, the components, become in the hands of someone else.

Lynn, I like the way the bottom loop feels integrated into the wings. Like it a natural extension of the design. It is wonderful isn't it to experience growth in your own creativity from how others use your pieces.

Gah! Those are beautiful! I am having a love affair with wings and feathers of late. Love it! Did you get my email with the link to my piece with your blackbird wing? Let me know if you didn't. Enjoy the day! Erin
