For a Friend, Shiny Thoughts

Do you get the impression that I get started in a direction and end up in a groove and have a hard time changing directions?

I guess I get going working in a media, get into it, and stay on it for a while.

I've had a friend, a very patient friend, who has been asking for some fused glass.

So this weekend I took a time out from the orders, from pewter and polymer, and made this pair of fused glass dangles.

I am so happy they turned out, and they're headed to their new home.

I do owe a couple of people some special items, and they're on my list.

But this one is done, and I'm pleased. Feels very good!

On to the next one, bring it on ... I'll work it in, too. It's good for me to learn balance.

Well, if it is any consolation, I am the same way. If I am not given a hard deadline it won't ever get done. And then I will leave it until the absolute last second. Actually, other things that are more pressing come in between. I wish I didn't do that.
Enjoy the day, Lynn. Those are lovely. Erin

Lovely and sparkly. I think maybe when we get traveling down the same path it's because the ideas keep evolving as you work in the same medium. I know it can be very difficult for me to switch over.

I need to take an hour or so, set it aside just to cut and assemble glass to put into the kiln for firing. I don't know what's holding me back, I know it won't take all that long. I just get stuck, like you say, in one media and it's hard to move myself over. Gotta do better!

absolutely gorgeous... your talent is daunting as you create things in so many different media that take my breath away... what a lucky recipient!
