Quiet Life Sunday

My daughter snapped this photo yesterday evening. Hubby and I walked to her house (yes, it's that close!) for a light dinner together. I was sitting on the floor when a little one with a book wanted to read.

This photo may not show me in my best light, but it does show clearly the big reasons for this change.

Look at that little intent face! She's very smart and knows many words already.

She and her mom came to the studio yesterday to get me, they walked over. Yes!

Today will be the first day creating in the new space.

I'll take some photos. They won't be as sweet as my daughter's, that much I know for certain.

The studio is 99.9% unpacked, the stations are set up.

Now I just need to get my hands working.

PS: I restocked the Pewter Etsy, it was woefully low. Many things will be made on order, but now you have the chance to pick them out again!
So many thanks to you for your patience while I worked out this change!

That's wonderful - I know you are SO happy to be that close to your daughter and grandbabies! Now you'll be right there to spoil her nonstop and read her books and watch her grow up :o)

I'm so glad you were able to make this move - it sounds like it's going to be perfect for you guys...Except for the heat (can you pack that up and send it away, please???)...

Very sweet picture. There's nothing like grandkids. We did the same thing. Moved to another state to be with them. We've been here in Kentucky for 3 years now and are so happy.

Sorry, Katie, the heat is over here too, with a sometimes afternoon shower thrown in just to keep things growing, don'cha know!

At least my paint dries very quickly!

I gotta ask - what's a chicka chicka boom boom - sounds FUN!

I've gotten my hands dirty today, and thankfully my eyes and hands remembered what to do!
