A Muse Zing

My Daughter Took This PHOTO - http://www.flickr.com/photos/jennyland/

Has anyone seen my muse?

I turned around, and she had left me. I think it's temporary, though. She left her shoes behind, I can tell they're hers because they're so small and sparkly.

I think the cure for MUSE-LOSS is new equipment.

So I went to Harbor Freight, searching for Muse Bait.

Sure enough, I found a belt sander, it's so cool! Actually, it gets quite warm when I use it, I have to put finger protectors on my hands, to keep from burning my fingertips.

And if I had a manicure ever, this thing would be the most efficient way to remove it.

But it's great at speeding up the cleanup from casting the pewter. I can get way down in the details and crevices, sweet!

And it has a vacuum hose attachment, see it there at the bottom on the side -- so the dust is handled and doesn't go everywhere. I still wear my eye protection and my face mask, but I don't end up completely head-to-toe dusted with metal when I use it. AND it was ON SALE! Woo Hoo ... Santa came early.

I LOVE TOOLS! and especially ones that make me more efficient.

Okay, Muse - time to come back and play now!

Art supply and tool shopping is a wonderful way to coax the muse back. Thanks for zinging this post!
Happy Holidays to you, Lynn

A girl can never have too many tools! Just ordered a bench shear for myself and it's making me feel more creative already. Hey, if your muse shows up here, I'll send her packing. I'll recognize her as the barefoot one and there aren't too many of those out in winter.

I think our muses are cavorting in the snow outside my house. I swear I saw little footrpints outside my basement window.
Tools are a sure lure. I just bought a Lortone tumbler! Hope to set it up today and coax her back in the warm house!
Enjoy the day, Lynn!

Muse bait I love it, another excuse for shopping. My muse is snowed in, unfortunately not at my house. 10 inches of snow last night and more on the way.

You all are so funny! Made me giggle, I promise.

"Muse Bait" can be found in lots of places, so if you have an idea for one that's really effective in luring the Muse, please share.

Love my tumbler! Envy your bench shear! Want-want!

Oh, and I must give a photo credit - my lovely daughter takes the most amazing photos. I don't know when she finds time. She's on FLICKR http://www.flickr.com/photos/jennyland/

And she took the golden toned photo of me, too. Talented AND beautiful, says her MOM.

Hi Lynn, too funny. Hope that muse shows up again, mine has been sitting on my shoulder until today. She must have fallen and is hiding today! I have that sander, love it! Use it to clean up all my metal after cutting, it is the best. I use it outside, so it makes a mess I can deal with. Have a ball! Hugs, Riki
