Good Friday Giveaway

Good Friday is today, and I don't have any pendants with palm leaves. The closest thing I have are these ivy pendants I've made.
I said I would do a giveaway after April 1, and I intended to have four rectangular pendants in the giveaway. They turned out to be popular, and have found homes! Which is a good problem to have.
So today I'm doing this Good Friday Giveaway with my two ivy pendants, and I'm headed over to the studio to make more florals to list in the shop. I'm getting the clear message from the poll on the left sidebar that you like the floral pieces. That's such a big help. I'm easily distracted and like a lot of images myself, so focus is genuinely needed!
As an extra push to shopping this month, I have an APRILSPECIAL coupon code set up in the Etsy shop to give you an automatic 10% off anything you purchase - and lots of things on sale already at great price savings. I just put some pewter items on sale, so you might find something you love at a super price!
For the giveaway, please tell me which of these two ivy pendant shapes you prefer, and why. Two people will win, picked at random from the oval-preferrers and the rectangule-preferrers - so tell me of these two images, both taken from the book of french designs my friend sent me, you would choose to design with, and why that shape.
As a bonus, I'd also like to know if you think the orientation should be up-and-down or side-to-side for designing jewelry. Would you prefer the oval go sideways? Would you prefer the rectangle go up-and-down?
Oval? Rectangle? Which would you prefer to design with? You might be picked by the random number generator to win it! So post your answer here to enter the giveaway! I'll announce the winners next week.
And if you're a follower of the blog, mention that - it's good for extra points ...

it's a tough choice but the rectangle is edginging out the oval by just a skosh in this one. I think it might be a little more interesting for a necklace( or un expected , maybe?) I'm a follower, of course.question, can I use black max on your work? I have a couple of skull charms(LOVE them) & want to knock the colour down a bit.

This is a trick question isn't it? ;P

It is really difficult to decide, but I'm thinking rectangle, and horizontally oriented as you have it. Though either shape in either orientation would be a winner. Forced to pick though... I did.

And you know I'm already a follower and huge fan! I just finished a necklace with one of your pieces last night and I'm about to blog about it :)

Wow, this is a tough decision because I love both! In this case though, I've got to go with the oval one...reminds me of an antique floral cameo. I love vintage romantic designs and these new floral pieces of yours are just perfect! I also love the added holes for hanging some sweet tidbits.
I like to mix things up a bit so I really like rectangles and ovals that go both ways...up & down or sideways...would depend on the design itself.
I love your blog Lynn and check it out everyday. Keep up the great work as it's amazing!

Lynn, these are lovely! I am crazy about ovals, I am drawn to them over any other shape -- and I don't know why. Maybe they seem extra elegant, not ordinary and boxy. Love what you are doing with pewter and resin.

BTW, If you get the the DFW area, you need to stop by the place where I work and check out our pewter manufacturing process. email me ;^)

I could create something with either one whether they were the way the are or if the orientation was the other way. However, I think I prefer the oval pendant the way it is. Not sure why I like it best, but I just think it would lay the nicest as a pendant. Maybe I don't like the pointy edges of the rectangle or maybe it is just the mood I am in today! I like the orientation of the ivy on both just fine. Hope this helps :)

I prefer oval myself, but as for the orientation, it would depend on what I wanted to do with it. Pendant of course up and down, but connector or as part of the clasp or whatever, side to side! Thanks for the chance to win. BTW, I voted for PARIS!

I'm digging the rectangular one myself...I don't know why for sure...but I really like that one best :o) but your work is always nice!

I really prefer the oval and as for orientation, I think it depends on the design. But really I like 'em all.

Oh and I follow this blog, of course.

I like them both but the rectangle seems a little more modern and the oval more old world. I like the way u have them too although an east west oval would be great for a bracelet...great now i want one

I like the oval slightly more. Both are great, but there is something about the rounded edges that I like.

Both are great pieces. I myself an more of a rectangle person so prefer that one and I like the way you have it - side to side. I would like to see the oval one side to side also.

THANKS, friends, for the good feedback. I appreciate knowing which people prefer - seems both have fans, which is good to know. Myself, I do like both, they are different but have their uses, either one. I'm closing the giveaway post today, but wanted to tell you all how much I need your good thoughts and ideas!
