Swoops and Soars

Blue birds, Smiling at me, Nothing but Lovebirds, Do I see -

... slightly altered the words to the old song but these little lovebird beads look like they are smiling in formation, swooping down and around

Four lovebird beads, greens and blues, with lacy designs on the flip side. Like doves descending.

Love your post about Georgia O'Keeffe, and your colored pencil (?) drawing is stunning. Great colors.

Tomorrow I'll have a post about another metalsmith, I'm enjoying looking up information about 'those who went before us' and your post has that same feeling to me.

I've been to the O'Keeffe museum in Santa Fe, NM - wonderful visual feast.

Thanks for reading my post, Lynn. I look forward to reading your piece tomorrow :) I love Santa Fe too!

Oh, that royal blue bird is absolutely GORGEOUS. The color is so rich. (: It feels like a Beatles lyric, "Blackbirds singin' in the dead of night..."

They aren't quite black, of course, but I just love that color.

Also, thank you for the stringing material suggestion for the fish! I'm hoping to get some nymo or silamide (I haven't compared their prices) when I cash my earnings and place my next supply order. (:

That's a great name, Royal Blue - Four and Twenty Blackbirds, Baked in a Pie ... Yes, you'll have fun with the nymo or silamide thread, no twisting and fighting back - but might find some beeswax handy sometimes.
