At this time of year lots of old black and white movies are being replayed on the channels. The classics, like 'It's a Wonderful Life' of course. All the holidays specials. Don't they just take you back in time to see them again?
I was going to name this little pendant bead 'rosebud' but for some reason the first thing that popped into my head was the ending of the movie 'Citizen Kane' - about the sled with the rosebud pattern on it. And Orson Wells whispering the word 'Rosebud'.
So then I had to change my mind, and call it something else, even though the little copper swirls might remind someone of sled runners.
No, No! Not what I was thinking of at all!
I was thinking of an old wooden box, found under the rafters of the attic in an old Victorian style house, with little treasures wrapped in scraps of cloth. Someone finding the box, opening it and unwrapping a little bundle to find that it has this little pendant inside.
Memory is a funny thing, it takes you to unexpected places sometimes.

Hello Lynn,
I always enjoy your blog. I've missed it the last few days. Reading it, I feel reconnected to pleasant habits.
When I read the inspiration for your lovely rose pendant and your searching for a title, I immediately thought of "Zuzu's petals", the flower petals Jimmy Stewart found in his pocket in "It's a Wonderful Life".
Emanda
Emanda, I love that image! I had completely forgotten about that part of the movie. It's one of my very all-time favorites, and I don't mind watching it over and over during the holidays. A much warmer, happier image for sure. Thanks for sharing that...
Hello again,
I'm with you. People cringe when they see It's a Wonderful Life scheduled on TV or cable, but I love watching it again and again. I think those old movies were made of magic.
OH MY GOSH! That is so beautiful!
Thank you Gaea!
