In Flight For Friends

An online friend asked me to make these blue wings, she's making a special memorial remembrance of her Dad. We worked out the color, shape and where the loops should go.

I hope she likes them, and I also hope I get a chance to see the finished memorial piece. I love making things like that for people, to make that connection.

The back has script written in french that says "Always Have A Good Experience" - Something nice to read sometimes. From the back they resemble those bright blue butterfly wings.

I am THRILLED with my Memento Mori Heavenly Wings focal : )...I am SO grateful to you for taking the time for those many convo's to get things "just right". We started with a lonely 'wing', and soared to "wings," and that additional bottom loop gives me extra room to dance with components!(I just found a button from his fave "Saturday" sweater!)
I loved the process...
~*~ YOU ROCK! ~*~
This is a special piece in rememberance of my Dad, who definitely deserves a unique piece! I will wear it close to my heart, and treasure it always.
I will send you a shot when I finish it, for sure!
All Blessings
& Merci de mon Coeur,
CarolAnn

This is so lovely! The wings themselves are gorgeous and then you made the back so meaningful. You really see your beads in totality :)

Thank you, CarolAnn, your ideas were so stimulating and I love your plans for these wings, you inspired me immensely.

Thanks, Beth! Very kind! I tried to think of what I would like in CarolAnn's place ... and it's a surprise, but I put something in for her to make one for her sister, too! LOL

PS Did you get the note I sent you yesterday with the answers to your questions?? I hit the send button a few minutes before we loss power. That would be because that nice gentle morning rain turned into a catagory 3 hurricane which tore out the huge pine tree across the street from our house, taking the power and our neighbor's car out as it fell!! :(
