First Feet, Years Apart

This picture is the tiny newborn foot of my grandbaby girl. The picture taken by her proud mom after coming home from the hospital. The days were followed by a hurricane that hit, spending days and nights without electricity while the winds howled and the trees groaned and moaned outside. It was steamy hot, there were long dark nights by candlelight.

It's almost funny now to think back a year and remember what we were doing and where we were. And to look at this recent photo of those same baby feet, now taking their first walking steps.

Time and memories. Happy Grandbaby Girl Birthday!

Newborn feet are so full of potential, all that wrinkly goodness just waiting to plump out with life's experience. And a year later, just look at that sweetness in those little feet. Thanks for sharing these Lynn and Happy Birthday Grandbaby Girl!

So sweet! I helped my dear friend make foot impressions of her first son, my godson for Christmas ornament the year he was born. Now he's walking and running on the playground of kindergarten. They grow up so fast.

There is nothing better than baby feet, so soft and precious!

I use to take my son to work with me one day a week when he was a baby and the Dr. I worked for would come right over to him and take off his socks and kiss his little feet!
Some might think that is weird, but since I love tiny baby feet I did not.

I stupidly didn't take many pictures of my kids feet. Wish I had. I even have the cutest portrait of my son at about one and all I see when I look at it is the glaring white of his little socks. Doh! Can't get that time back...it marches on. That baby boy is now 11 and wouldn't let me photograph his toes if his life depended on it (that doesn't mean I won't try). Thanks for sharing that sweet slice of life. Enjoy the day! Erin

Happy First Birthday, Little Girl. I'd love to be loving your neck, but will have to wait a while for the next chance. Something to look forward to, coming down the road.

Aren't those crossed ankles just too, too cute? A dainty little lady already!
