I've been wanting for some time to combine the resin with the polymer clay. I made up this pendant focal bead.
The lettering at the top says "THE ENGLISH" and in the triangular opening there's a playing card image of the King of Hearts.
Can you see him inside there?
Then I covered it with resin. To make a little window inside.
The pendant focal has stringing holes from top to bottom, on both sides. I can picture it with coral beads or beautiful square pearls.
I have some more ideas like this that I want to try.

The back of the square bead has medieval lettering, in an english country color of red. I picture chintz chairs with roses in the print. Fresh and fun.
What do you think about the resin with the polymer clay?

I have another batch of resin curing overnight. In the morning I'll get up and check on them.

OO Lynn, I love this! I like the resin with the design. Nice job.

How totally unique, Lynn! I absolutely love it - the one thing I do wish is that you could see the king a bit better beneath the resin. There just isn't much contrast between his black ink and the red cover, so you do have to look for him... I probably would have missed him at first glance, if not for you mentioning that he's inside! I can't wait to see where you go with this. (:
Very nice Lynn - love the punchy color too... Vicki
I like that! Neat ideas you have!
Thanks, friends. It looks huge in the photo, but it's not really that big. I had to zoom in so you could see the King of Hearts, he's pretty small.
And Amanda - it's a photo thing. In person you can see him pretty well but to get the light to shine down on him it created a glare and then you couldn't see inside.
I tell you, the photography is sometimes the hardest part! Getting a clear and accurate photo. I admire the photographers who do it full time.
Love this idea!
I love it!
Great pendant Lynn! I think resin and polymer clay are fabulous companions. Love the idea of the cut out window with the King inside. Very cool!
